Quick Start
- Ensure you have 1 Practice Token available in your account.
- Complete the Token Activation Request form.
- Please allow up to 3 business days for activation.
- Once activated, submit your photograph.
- Please allow up to 3 business days for your written review.
- Continue submitting your photographs, one at a time, until all 10 review slots have been used.

About Photo Review
Photo Review is a guided reflection process designed to help you continue developing your photographic practice.
Each submitted photograph receives written feedback based on the current De-CONNECT learning theme.
Rather than reviewing many photographs at once, Photo Review encourages a slower rhythm of practice.
Submit one photograph.
Reflect on the feedback.
Continue photographing.
Return when you're ready with another image.
How Photo Review Works
A Photo Review Cycle consists of 10 review slots.
Each review slot allows you to submit one photograph together with a short written description, if appropriate.
You may use your review slots at your own pace.
Many members choose to submit one photograph, spend some time reflecting and practising, then return with another image.
There is no requirement to use all ten review slots immediately.
You may spread your submissions across days, weeks, or months.
Once all ten review slots have been used, the review cycle is complete.
Members who wish to continue may activate another Photo Review Cycle.
Feedback
Photo Review follows the current De-CONNECT learning rhythm.
Feedback focuses primarily on how the submitted photograph relates to the weekly idea being explored.
Examples include:
- Light
- Shadow
- Edge
- Plane
- Reflection
- Repetition
- Isolation
- Near–Far
- Directional Structure
Reviews may sometimes comment on:
• Composition
• Use of light
• Timing
• Opportunities to strengthen the photograph
The purpose of the review is not to judge whether a photograph is good or bad.
The purpose is to support your ongoing practice and help you understand your work more clearly.
Review Turnaround
Written feedback is normally provided within 3 business days after your photograph has been submitted.
Processing time may occasionally be longer during periods of high participation.
You'll receive an email notification when your review is ready.
Monthly Photo Review Live
On the first Sunday of every month, a 30-minute Photo Review Live session is held.
Three photographs from the previous month's reviews are selected for educational discussion.
Selection is based on how clearly the photograph explores the current learning themes.
Equipment, editing style, or photographic experience are not part of the selection criteria.
Recordings are archived in the Learning Library for future reference.
Privacy
Photo Review is intended to be a safe and supportive learning space.
All written feedback remains private between the reviewer and the member.
Review comments are not visible to other members.
Submitted photographs are not shared publicly during the review process.
The only exception is when a photograph is selected for discussion during the Monthly Photo Review Live session.
Private correspondence always remains confidential.
Participation
1 Practice Token = 1 Photo Review Cycle
Each Photo Review Cycle includes:
• 10 review slots
• One photograph per review slot
• Written feedback
• Eligibility for Monthly Photo Review Live consideration
You may submit your photographs one at a time as your practice develops.
Note: Each Photo Review Cycle includes 10 review slots. Once all 10 review slots have been used, the cycle is complete. If you wish to continue receiving Photo Reviews, simply activate a new Photo Review Cycle.
